Synology® Releases GPL Source Based on DSM 2.1 Version 0844 and Toolchain for its Disk Station
Taipei, Taiwan—May 25, 2009—Synology® Inc. today released GPL source based on its Disk Station Manager 2.1 version 0844 and toolchain for the complete Disk Station models to the open source community.
"Thanks to the openness of Linux platform, we welcome our users to develop applications on the Synology Disk Station," said Edward Lin, marketing director of Synology. "The GPL source update allows users to have a closer look at what Synology has been developing." The toolchain was also released for all Disk Station models with this GPL update.
