Synology® Announced Its 3rd-Party Application Integration Support for Its NAS Server
p class="inline">Taipei, Taiwan—June 17, 2008—Synology® today announced its 3rd-party application integration support for its NAS server products. Users are now able to integrate applications to the Synology Disk Station Manager 2.0. "This is a highly anticipated and frequently requested feature. We are glad it’s now made possible," said Cheen Liao, president of Synology America Corp.
Users who wish to install their favorite applications on the Synology Disk Station Manager 2.0 can now upgrade their Synology NAS server to DSM 2.0-0637 or above, and follow the "Synology NAS Server 3rd-Party Apps Integration Guide," which is now available for download on www.synology.com.
The installed application will be shown in the Synology Disk Station Manager 2.0 interface as a menu item for easy access. Therefore, users will have greater flexibility in integrating 3rd-party applications with their Synology NAS server.
