Synology® Releases Second August Peripherals Update with Four Newly Supported Hard Drives
Taipei, Taiwan—August 28, 2009—Synology® Inc. today announced the compatibility of its Disk Station with four 3.5" hard drives, including Seagate ST31000340SV (1 TB), ST3750330NS (750 GB), ST3750640NS (750 GB), and Western Digital WD2002FYPS (2TB).
All of the above models have successfully passed a series of stress and compatibility tests in the Synology laboratory and have been proven to be compatible with x09, x08, and x07 series of Disk Station. A special note about the WD WD2002FYPS disk, according to Synology's test records, is that it's advised to be used with Disk Station in environments with temperatures below 30 degree Celsius.
